This year marks the 20th anniversary  of the Women of Distinction Luncheon, a signature Bronx Chamber of Commerce event dedicated to recognizing exceptional women whose leadership, service, and impact continue to shape the Bronx. For two decades, the luncheon has served as a platform for celebration, connection, and investment in the next generation of leaders.

With the generous support of our sponsoring Bronx Chamber members, the Bronx Chamber of Commerce Foundation has proudly awarded partial scholarships to college-bound young women from Bronx high schools, helping to reduce financial barriers to higher education while creating meaningful connections between students and influential women across business, nonprofit, and civic sectors.

As we commemorate this milestone year, we honor the women whose dedication, vision, and commitment have inspired progress across generations. The 20th anniversary is both a celebration of distinguished leadership and a reflection of the lasting impact this program continues to have on our community.

Join us as we celebrate 20 years of Women of Distinction and continue advancing opportunity, leadership, and empowerment throughout the Bronx.

HONOREE

Stephanie Ehrlich is a passionate advocate for making the natural world available to city dwellers. Having grown up in an apartment in Brooklyn, she knows how important it is for kids and adults to get outside. Over the span of her nearly 30-year career, Ms. Ehrlich has had the pleasure of spreading the gospel of green at some of NYC’s most venerable open spaces, including Central Park, Wave Hill, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and Queens Botanical Garden. She believes that parks and gardens are essential to the fabric of New York City.

In her dual role as Executive Director of Van Cortlandt Park Alliance and Park Administrator at NYC Parks, she is most proud of bringing forth the Daylighting of Tibbetts Brook, NYC’s largest green infrastructure project to date and Reimagining the Enslaved African Burial Ground in Van Cortlandt Park.

A graduate of Kenyon College, Ms. Ehrlich has studied at Oxford University and Bank Street School of Education. She resides in Harlem with her husband and dog (both of whom are mustachioed) and sings with her band, Big Bowl of Soul.
