    As a part of Manhattan College’s annual Peace Week, Sister Norma Pimentel, a national advocate for immigrants and justice, will deliver a talk on her work and immigration at the Southern border on Wednesday, February 19, in Kelly Commons Room 5B at 7 p.m. After the talk, there will be an opportunity for questions and answers. Sister Pimentel is a sister with the Missionaries of Jesus and a licensed professional counselor. As executive director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, she oversees the charitable arm of the Diocese of Brownsville, providing oversight of the different ministries and programs in the areas of emergency assistance, housing assistance, counseling, and pregnancy care to all four counties in the Rio Grande Valley.
