    Celebrate Italian Heritage Month and join us in October as we investigate the memorials that were created by Italian sculptors and carvers. Many of these works were created by the Piccirilli brothers known for carving iconic works like the Lincoln Memorial. Other artists represented at Woodlawn include: John Grignola, Giuseppe Moretti and Oronzio Maldarelli. On this walking tour you’ll see mausolea and monuments documenting the lives of artist Joseph Stella, restaurateur Placido Mori, Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia, and newspaper mogul Generoso Pope.
