Name: Bronx Parishes offer mission celebrating Discipleship
    Date: April 16, 2018 - April 18, 2018
    Event Description:
The Bronx parishes of St. Frances de Chantal, St. Benedict, St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus, St. Clare of Assisi and St. Anthony are joining together to present a mission on the evenings of April 16, 17 and 18, 2018 at 7 pm each night. The mission, which will have the theme of “Discipleship” will be held at the church of St. Frances de Chantal at 190 Hollywood Avenue, in the Throggs Neck section of Bronx County. The mission will be offered in both English and Spanish with Rev, Luke Leighton, CFR being the principal preacher for the English mission and Rev. Agostino Torres, being the principal preacher for the Spanish mission. Opportunities for confession will offered during the mission culminating in a bi-lingual celebration of the Eucharist on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in the main church at St. Frances de Chantal. Music will be provided by the St. Frances de Chantal and St. Benedict Parish Choirs and the St. Clare of Assisi Folk Group. After the concluding Mass, there will be an opportunity for sharing with the mission staff and a chance to explore the various ministries offered by the participating parishes. All are welcome as we explore the experience of being a disciple of Jesus in these modern times.
